Why we do this.
...That this nation, under God, shall have a new birth of freedom - and that government by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the earth.
Abraham Lincoln, Gettysburg Address, Nov. 19, 1863
It’s more than love of country ... it is a sacred duty to God and Country to maintain the liberties we enjoy as Americans. It is for ourselves, our sons and daughters, our grandchildren...for posterity.
"Posterity: you will never know how much it has cost my generation to preserve your freedom. I hope you will make good use of it."
John Adams
There are many ways to assert your patriotic duty. Military service certainly is one. Running for office is another. Volunteering for community or governmental service to our city, state or country counts, too.
To those of us in our “prime” years, some, if not all, of those services are no longer options for us. But speaking out, loudly and clearly, is one, probably more practical way of continuing and expending the freedoms and liberties our forefathers so courageously and wisely willed to us.
So...speaking out on the issues is our way of “payback” and “pay forward” to our posterity for the blessings of liberty given to us as Americans.
Our Purpose;
As Howard Haddock so accurately put it: Stimulate the American people to become more involved and more informed in our Governmental processes and to participate in the election process.
We thank you for your attention. Importantly, we thank you for your ACTION.
